awseome another elektro artist!

Hey dude id love to hear the original track, you should try soundcloud.com (no file limit, you can also upload in WAV).
If got one pm me.
I've also been lookin for another elektro artist here on ng, in europe elektro is getting huge.

Reviewise,
-the writing i pretty delicious
-the mix(at least on this quality) is pretty off, when you have all instruments and pads going all the drums gett really drowned out, try to make sure they arent clogging in the same frequency. or try sidechaing.
-the bass could be a bit more prominent(even though its a chill song, it should still pop out a little), id reccomend compression or even just messing with the eq(maybe raise the frequency a bit).
-the snare and clap are both kind of bad on here, u should completely re-eq those.

apart from all these criticisms, this track is on the verge of being excellent, right now its just pretty really good.

8.75/10(9)
5/5
ill favorite, i wana hear your next better stuff, gratz.

D-Chain responds:

Haha thank you sir :)
very kindly ^^

i live in europe so... i know its huge already.

-the mix could be a bit better yes.. [will try to improve]
-the bass, well, its my best part in the song xD its not entirely elektro so it doesnt matter if it pops or not.
as for the snare or clap, i didnt use any snare.. but yea xD
which clap did you mean? bc theb eat is made out of ONLYclaps apart from the cymbal and ride so... youo tell me :)

thanks for faving tho ^^ very kindly :)

genericy i guess but good

a good remix i guess, everythings ok but is it just me or is ur one of the notes in your bassline out of key and RUINING THE SONG COMPLETELY.

apart frm that its a fine remix idk if it deserves top.
oh reminded me of bounce a lot too style wise

DanceNation responds:

lawlz, you sir, know nothing about music theory. It is in key -.-

that wobble, that dropp!

are both beyond sickening, please pretty please make a full version

wooott

from around 1 minute t 2 is awseomee

mehhh

my first mpression after a listen through is honestly, i dont like it. But im not exactly an avid listener of dubstep.

I mean sure, it was sick, heavy, etc whatever; but compared to reflections(which i literally listen to everyday and jam it hard as hell) this doesnt appeal to me. Im sure the HARDCORE dubstep crowd will enjoy this for the sheer brutality and crazy dubstepness of this; but to the average jo on NG i honestly think they will not liek or enjoy this.

As for technicality, i listened to this moderatly loud on normal speaker settings and pretty good speakers and the bass couldve been a bit more prominent(but maybe its my speakers). The mixing does seem a TAD off but cant exactly pin point what. Also this song is COMPLEX as hell, i almost couldnt even follow everything(another thing which some people enjoy, but i necessarlily dont, complex doesnt always=good).

But overall id give and 8/10, only due to my personal tastes.
id give it a 5/5 because i can tell you serously tried and worked on this a lot. Just listening to it i can imagine the hours it took. You deserve to be the top NG artist you are. Keep more cmin brah!

mr-jazzman responds:

Alright man, criticism accepted. However, I would point out that this is rather superficial stuff (except for the mastering...that in itself was an experiment on my part, and I've learned quite a bit from this project). Yes, it's pretty heavily-influenced dubstep, but that shouldn't mean that the average listener wouldn't like it. It just depends on your taste. And the song wasn't planned to be complex; it just sort of evolved into that. I will agree that complexity doesn't always mean it's a great song, but this song wasn't necessarily meant to match
"Reflections" in epicitude; really, I think both FiendØ and I just wanted to produce a tune that was fun to listen to for Robot Day lol...which even though it may not have fit your personal tastes, it's kind of a trip to listen to lol. Thanks for the response though. This is something to build from, because it means people expect a certain quality from me, which means I must be producing something valuable. I'm just glad that you could see the work that both FiendØ and I put into this, even though your personal tastes aren't aligned with dubstep. ;)

exallante

the piano comin in at the beginng didnt blend too well, it kinda hurt to hear, kindaaa, ya could change the frequencies around a bit to find a cavity for it.
writinss freakinn amazingg!!
the bass and kick are a bit weak, especially for house. house songs just need that kick ass thundering bass, kick and clap. yea def needs moar bass, and maybe a bassier sub kick. the song seems a little to focused on the writing than the driving beat, which is good, but not exactly the ULTIMATE goal in house.

ok i just read this is progressive house(myy badd), but id recmend ya just switch things around in this and make a longer trance remix either way.

despite said things, this is awseome. definetly a new fan.

Sirdangolot5 responds:

Thanks for the C+C! There was no piano, at any point in this song, so I'm not sure what you meant by that. Thanks anyways I guess.

yess!

another excellent song to top the audio portal, i mean this is where the credit is definetly due!
I mean, those genius words "vagina" and "talking", those beautiful percussions in the background, just everything inthis track fits together perfectly to create this masterpiece.
Congratulations.

just amazng overall

i just listened to this after listening to "its a cold world", and ive gotta say you are definetly getting to a professional level.
Although i truly loved this epic song, there were a couple things in it that really pissed me off as i was listening.
The thing that ticked me the most was the slightly out of beat lead, which i understand some people do, i just dotn think you pulled it off. I would say add some nice delay to that main lead to not make that same repetitive note boring, it would also add another layer to the nice ambience ya got goin in this song.
The second thing i disliked, was the opening and ending simple beat that you built upon. It was just a tad cheesy, although i havent heard the tellitubby theme song lately it reminded me of those lala and bo dancing and jumping around. Maybe its the tight drum kits, which you also have in its a cold world. But id suggest giving even that simple beat at the very begining a little pizzaz, i dont know, maybe add another(lower, less lound) kick.
The mix is around perfect id say as well.
As for praise, that break was indeed amazing, if you thought that up all by yourself gratz.
So again, this song is ridonculosly awseomly good.
Excellent work, more plz!

insane!

Wow i need to start listening to dubstep, this is insane its like brutal techno.
Its heavy, its creepy, and its awseome.

and the sound quality on the youtube vid is insane, makes it sound wayyyyy better. Like i dont believe you even used fl studio to make that.

Insane Props 10/10.

mr-jazzman responds:

Yes, you DO need to listen to more dubstep lol! It inspired me so much. You should check out the likes of guys like Bar9, Nero, Datsik, Excision, Black Sun Empire, and so many others. Check out the UKF Dubstep channel on Youtube, that's my primary source of inspiration. And, like I said, with practice, you can make stuff just like this (or better ;) )! Thanks man, appreciate the review! =)

moderatly amazing

ive listened to much of the tracks on your page, and although most are really a little too out of my style zone, i find this truly good and awseome. I dont really listen to dubstep, but i sure would if theres more like this.
1:12 and on is insane minor creepy madness
gratz.

i only gave 9 cuz i dont know much about dubstep.

mr-jazzman responds:

Haha well that's fine. I suggest you check dubstep out, even if it's not your style. Hell, I listen to a lotta music that's not necessarily my style. Shoot, DUBSTEP isn't necessarily my style; I'm more of a metalcore man myself. But, I've learned a lot from producing dubstep. I've actually adapted some of my guitar playing to a dubstep style, which is kind of interesting. Just keep learning from everywhere man, it's pretty fun! =)
